“We must always remember who we are and why we are. We are proudly a land-grant institution
in the great state of Arkansas. In everything that we do, we must place a passion
for our mission at the center of our operation. With every hire, with every policy,
every program, every budget decision — we must remember that our primary purpose is
to improve the lives of every Arkansan.”
— Chancellor Charles F. Robinson
Dr. Charles F. Robinson was formally invested as the seventh chancellor of the University of Arkansas on April 20, 2023. The investiture ceremony — one of academia’s oldest traditions — was held in the Faulkner Performing Arts Center and hosted by UA System President Donald R. Bobbitt and the UA Board of Trustees. The ceremony included greetings from leaders of several groups and remarks from Chancellor Robinson, who was presented with a medallion symbolizing his authority and responsibilities. The university marked the occasion with several events, including a pre-investiture celebration in the Arkansas Union.
