Fall 2026 Welcome Message to Students
August 16, 2026
Dear Razorbacks,
As we prepare to start the fall semester, I want to wish you all the best in the months ahead. Whether you are beginning your studies, starting your final year with an eye toward graduation or somewhere in between, I am grateful that you chose the University of Arkansas.
The first day of classes always brings a bit of uncertainty, no matter how long you've been at the university. The good news is that you don't have to be perfect tomorrow or any day after. You'll find your classrooms, introduce yourself to classmates and professors, and start to settle into the rhythm of the semester. Your presence here means you have already achieved significant academic success, and you have what it takes to thrive at the U of A from the first day of freshman year through graduation.
I want you to get the most out of your time at the university, so I encourage you to get involved in campus life and be intentional about forming connections with other students and with our faculty and staff. Someone you meet in a Registered Student Organization might become a lifelong friend. A staff member you sit next to at a Razorback game might tell you about a campus opportunity that changes your entire trajectory. The professor you visit during office hours could become a mentor who helps you pursue the dream career that brought you to the university in the first place. Opportunities are all around you, as long as you put yourself out there to find them.
If you have questions or need support, please take advantage of the resources we offer. You are our top priority, and our faculty and staff are here to help you succeed.
Thank you for the talent, ambition and energy you bring to the University of Arkansas. I can't wait to see what you will accomplish this year.
Go Hogs!
Charles F. Robinson, Ph.D.
