Staff Appreciation Week: Thank You for Your Dedication to the U of A

October 7, 2024

Dear Staff,

As we celebrate Staff Appreciation Week, we want to thank each of you for your contributions to the University of Arkansas and its land-grant mission to serve the people of our state. Your hard work and dedication are the foundation of our success, and the progress we’ve made over the past year would not have been possible without you.

This year, we’ve set new institutional records in several critical areas: the highest graduation rate in our 153-year history, continued excellence in retention rates, and a record-breaking enrollment of 33,610 students, including more Arkansans than ever before. These accomplishments are more than just numbers; they reflect the life-changing difference you are making for students and families across the state.

In addition to supporting our students, the university’s research and innovation continue to make an impact throughout Arkansas. With a record $221.5 million in research conducted and several world-class facilities set to open in the months ahead, we are shaping Arkansas’ future. Our $3 billion annual economic impact is a testament to how the work happening here transforms lives and strengthens our state’s economy. Every aspect of that impact — from workforce development to research innovation — is driven by your dedication.

This week, we celebrate you and everything you do to make the University of Arkansas a leader in education, research and public service. Our annual Employee Appreciation Banquet will be held this week, as we recognize staff for their years of service and honor our Employee of the Quarter and Employee of the Year recipients. In addition, we invite you to enjoy special discounts and events around campus.

Thank you for helping the U of A continue to reach new heights. It is a privilege to work with you to serve our students and our state.

Have a wonderful Staff Appreciation Week!

Sincerely,
